چکیده

Introduction: Liver diseases are among the commonestcauses of morbidity and mortality accurate characterization is an important goal diagnostic imaging. The aim study to establish role ultrasonography CT in differentiation early diagnosis focal liver lesions correlate findings with pathological diagnosis. Methodology:This prospective comparative observational hospital based was conducted on 100 patients. USG were performed hepatic mass Diagnostic value compared those CT. Results: Ultrasonography evaluation results final by FNAC/ HPR.USG showed maximum cases malignant HCC (20%) benign abscess (19%).CT diagnosed number as metastasis (19%) andalmost equal percentage hemangiomas(15%) abscess(16%) lesions. The sensitivity specificity diagnosing turned out be slightly less than that Conclusion:The concluded can adopted initial imaging modality advantages differentiating cystic from solid lesions, relationship critical structures guide FNAC biopsy. has a comparatively higher detection help narrow differentials.

Characteristics of focal liver lesions in arterial phase on contrast-enhanced ultrasound and contrast--enhanced computed tomography - comparative study.

BACKGROUND To compare the features of focal liver lesions in the arterial phase on contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT). MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 38 lesions in 29 patients with focal liver lesions (FLL) were examined with CEUS and CECT. The characteristics of the enhancement were determined, especially in the early arterial phase (0~...

Split-Bolus Multidetector-Row Computed Tomography Technique for Characterization of Focal Liver Lesions in Oncologic Patients

BACKGROUND In oncologic patients, the liver is the most common target for metastases. An accurate detection and characterization of focal liver lesions in patients with known primary extrahepatic malignancy are essential to define management and prognosis. OBJECTIVES To assess the diagnostic accuracy of the split-bolus multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT) protocol in the characterizat...
